You can change your business's weekly work hours from the standard 40-hour workweek. For example, your business could have a workweek of 38 hours. You can also set the daily work hours within a workweek.
Where does changing work hours impact PayWow?
- Time Off - When an employee requests for time off, the hours will be calculated based upon the work hours set for that day of the week at your business. For example, if a business sets work hours for Friday in the amount of 6 hours, and sets other days as 8 hours, any employee who requests time off on a Friday will be deducted 6 hours, whereas if they request time off on any other day, they will be deducted 8 hours.
- Salary Compensation - For salaried employees who are not compensated on an hourly basis, the pay per hour rate will differ based on the workweek hours. A reduced workweek will increase the pay per hour rate.
- Minimum Wage - For salaried employees who are not compensated on an hourly basis, a reduced workweek will increase the pay per hour rate. This will have an impact on the minimum wage.
